Soft tampons, what are the advantages over ordinary tampons?

Soft tampons, what are the advantages over ordinary tampons?
i have never hear of soft tampons.
the only article i can think of is the silk contentment by o.b. and they make them jump in easier.
if i am mistaken, later what is a brand that makes soft tampons, i would similar to to research it. :)
Well I would assume the obvious reason would be that they go within easier and are more comfortable. They don't hurt.
