Skin problem?

A part of my skin on the support of my neck feel and appears a bit different. It feels totally smooth, somewhat like velvet than rest of the skin and height wise, also seem a bit uneven. Its color seem slightly darker. Anybody have any idea what that might be. There's no aching or anything. May be just slight burning sometimes, but nought else. allergy or what? Any clue? Should I see a doctor or a dermitologist?Skin problem?
Go see a dermatologist, might be contact dermatitis, might be a premalignant lesion, could be anything.
It might just simply be a birthmark. Then again, you should move about to your doctor to confirm that.
